Asia’s Changemakers:

What is a quantum computer?

Quantum computers have the ability to process large amounts of data exponentially faster than their classical counterparts. This processing power allows researchers to simulate intricate chemical interactions, forecast notoriously unpredictable weather conditions and decipher complex logistical optimization problems. To understand what gives quantum computers its power, experimental physicist Professor Yvonne Gao from the National University of Singapore shares more.
