Asia’s Changemakers:

Wrestling with the overfishing of stingrays

Naomi Clark-Shen is a marine scientist by day and professional wrestler by night. When she’s not battling it out in the ring, Naomi is a PhD student committed to combating overfishing of sharks and stingrays. Her work includes surveying the sharks and rays at local ports and studying samples to study the animal’s life. Through her research, Naomi hopes to offer insights and encourage greater effort in marine conservation and sustainable fishing.
